Best piece of advice you have ever received?

Tell us about your position at North:
As Event Coordinator, I manage many of the client events, along with some of North’s. In addition to planning all the small details within the events, spending hours double checking spreadsheets and Asana projects, myself, and the rest of the events team at North, manage budgets, sponsor/exhibitor outreach, different promotions of the event, and registration! It sounds like a lot, but if you have a great team with you, it’s amazing to see something that you’ve spent most of the year on come together and benefit the client and the event attendees.
How did your education prepare you for your career?
Besides the most obvious answer, it has helped me have the ability to think critically even in the most stressful situations.
How do you handle work-life balance?
I try my best to not have too much work outside of work. This sometimes does not happen, but i find that having a clear list of things to do each day makes my day productive to the point where I am able to leave without too much on my plate.
What advice would you give yourself in college?
Don’t stress too much.
What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
When I was seven, I went on a cross-country road trip with my mom, grandpa, and two older sisters that consisted of us driving most of the day and sleeping in an RV for five weeks during the summer. I was able to see 30 of the states in the U.S.A. and make great memories with my family!
What is something you’re proud of?
I was fortunate enough to start my college education with several credits already completed which led me to graduate in three years with my Bachelor’s degree.
